“Weaving the Arch of Time” I had started contemplating how time, or rather the experiencial idea of time, was an important dimension with the scope of this series of work and felt it need a representation shall we say. Central to the concept was the seeming limitation of “two sides” in it’s simplest form ‘black and white’, ‘form and no form to define it’, ‘yin yang’, you get the idea. It seemed appropriate to start with an egg form that was to hatch the concept of duality from within the limitlessness of all possibility, an egg form that sent ripples through the continuum as defined and it was a day of rainbows thus triggering another aspect of the design. I am a great believer in using what is available in my assorted doings....... I like to think we weave the fabric of our lives and thus we might surely be weaving the arch of time that defines. It is a subtle piece in terms of viewing unless the light is right............... and then there are things to be seen.
